Sales tax rebates show healthy gain: San Marcos, Klye shine

Both San Marcos and Kyle saw a healthy gain in sales tax rebates issued by the state comptroller's office this week; yet other Hays County communities took hits.

Foreclosures number 100 or more for 15 months

San Marcos — The number of properties scheduled to be auctioned off on the steps of the Hays County Courthouse April 6 is slated to set a record.

With a record attendance of over 450 people, the 2010 Economic Outlook Luncheon on February 26th became one of the region's premier public economic forums.
Dr. John Duca, Vice President and Senior Policy Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, along with Drs. David Beckworth, James LeSage, and Paul Gowens of Texas State University-San Marcos discussed the current economic environment and their outlook for the central Texas region in 2010.
